MY JOURNEY TO THE STAGE

If you've never thought a lot about manifesting and trusting the direction of the universe...my journey to the stage will undoubtedly make you a believer.

When I was in grade 3 my teacher asked us to share with our classmates what we wanted to be when we grew up. I remember confidently saying "I want to be a motivational speaker." Did I even know what that was back then? I'm not sure that I truly did but what I did know was that I loved helping people and I LOVED talking!

As the years went on, I followed many thought leaders and I was almost obsessed with how they spoke, their messages and the way they made people feel. I could feel how they changed people's lives with the power of their voices.

My Dad was a Tony Robbins fan and I would listen to his Personal Power CD set on my walkman (shoutout to all the cool people who lived for their walkman!)

I was always ferociously looking for inspiration and to learn how I could help other people by incorporating the variety of techniques.

Then the time came to choose a career path and I chose law. I put that motivational speaker dream in the back of my brain and became a lawyer. The truth is, law allowed me to use my voice to help people and it taught me so much about myself. Law brought me back to my dream of being a speaker. I dove in head first last fall. In January, I was redoing my vision board to reflect my 2025 goals. I created an image of me on a stage speaking (shoutout to Canva). I did a meditation and visualized myself walking onto stage. 48 hours later, @thedanshaikh started following me on instagram and found me on Linkedin. I didn't know Dan and I certainly didn't know that he was the co-founder of Speaker Slam. We had an introduction meeting that day. I am now taking the stage on March 25, 2025 at Speaker Slam.

The moral of the story is, I always knew what my life's purpose was but I became disconnected from it. All of the life experience and lessons I endured from grade 3 until the age of 37 had been preparing me for the stage that I had always known I was destined for. The universe delivered my manifestation once I was ready and aligned with my purpose.xo
